Question Front tank capacity???

Hi
How do you tell how many gallons the front tank is?
I guess it maters prior to ordering the pump assembly.
Can one person remove the bed to get to the tanks?

Thanks
Judd

Long bed or SuperCab? Steel tank or plastic tank?
One person may or may not be able to remove the bed. That depends on equipment, ability and/or resourcefulness. Two or more able-bodied persons make it much easier.

When I switch tanks it dies the gas gauge does not work and it is leaking fumes some where.I can't even park in in the garage, it will run you out of the house. I have not dropped it but there is no evidence of a leak on the tank/connections on frame rail. Any help would be appreciated.
Your profile says you have an '86 5.0L HO in your '94. If its the Mustang carbureted motor then there's no telling what lines have been changed/disconnected/left hanging open. We have no way of knowing that.

truck. The gas was really orange and smelled bad.
I don't know that vinegar would do anything to a gummed up fuel tank. I use cheap lacquer thinner. Works great.
That being said, I'd remove the bed and check the tank before ordering a pump. If the tank is rusted inside as well as gummed up you may want to look into the replacement tanks at RockAuto.com as they come with pump/sender/straps, etc.

it is a 5.0 HO and it does have the the injection fuel rail. I have checked all the connections and have no leaks that I can find. I have also rebuilt the injectors so they are not leaking. These dam fumes are deiving me crazy.
