Default FNG and a VIN ?

Afternooon All,, I am a member over at FTE, and no-one can find out info about one of my trucks,,, I ordered a Deluxe Marti Report,, and that wasn't to much help,, so the question is,,, I have a 1976 F150,,, it has F150 badges, and 8 lug running gear,,, no it has not been transplanted,, the VIN starts F13 and yes I have pictures and all,,, so I am looking for more info,,, I will give a link to my albums @ FTE if that does not hurt anyone's feelings or rules, because I just don't have the time or the pictures handy to load and do all that stuff again,, http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/me...lue+truck.html
ANY information would be greatly appreciated!

I have a "few" old Fords, so I am not a newbie to them and consider myself somewhat knowledgeable, and a collector of sorts although the wife calls it a sickness and thinks I should seek counseling!!

Howdy Pickupmanx2, welcome to the family!

So, you want to know more about the '76 F150?

I have no F13 listed, just F10 and F15. B= 4.9L I6 300. R= San Jose Truck. C79516= 1976. 133" Wheelbase, P= Light Blue Paint, Have nothing for 130 Type/G.V.W. Body = DB4 is a Ranger cab w/ Styleside Pickup Box, Trans= C is a 3spd manual, Axle code is a D60(Dana 60) w/ 3.73 gears, 6150 G.V.W.R., and 72 is San Jose.

I have absolutely nothing for a F130(F150 w/ 3/4 ton running gear).

My guess is it was a S.O. for a towing/camping truck.

I have never seen a F150 with a 8 lug pattern, Unless it was a light duty F250 rebadged as a F150.

Yep,, it was badged "something" ,, I know Chevy had the "Heavy Half",, not sure if this was Ford's answer to that,,, I mean it has a Dana 60,,, not sure if it was a weight issue,, I know here in Kalifornia we are tagged for weight on our trucks,,, I pay a weight fee on my 96 F350 of 257 and on my 77 F150 of 85, so I am not sure if it was to get around that,, or a smog issue,,, it does not have a smog pump or CAT,, heck, gonna have to go look if it has an EGR,, I think it does,,,

I would say it's possible. I bought a 86 F250 SC a few years ago that came from California. No emissions at all with a 460 which surprised me. I lived in North Carolina when I bought it.

Ford had heavy half's too, known as 5/8's ton's if you look at some of the vin's, like mine starts with U15 for my Bronco, there is a place that has U151 the last digit being the suspension package upgrade, there was U151 and U152, the 85 F150 I picked up had F152. That's one way to tell beefier suspension, another is Quad Shocks.

Like my truck for instance. Sits higher than any other brick I've ever seen.
Going by the door sticker, the people wanted to title it a 250.
