Default My truck

I have a 1977Ford F150 Ranger long bed with a 351-400 6.6 liter engine. Right now I'm mad at it because my wife and I went on a two-week vacation and when I came back it won't start...I think she's mad at me (the truck). I had the battery checked and it did have a bad cell so they replaced the battery. I zipped home and put it in the truck, turned the key and 'nothing' just a little 'click'. So next I changed the solenoid on the firewall, taking the easy way out! I was almost sure that was the problem...nope, still won't start. I have been doing workarounds to avoid having to change the starter but it looks like I will have to. This is one of the most difficult starters I have ever tackled because it faces the rear of the truck and one of the bolts is right below the heat shield for the manifold. If anyone has had to deal with this I would appreciate any suggestions.

I live in Garden Ridge Texas which is about 20 miles north of San Antonio.

Central Florida welcomes you to the club. Sometimes it's just better to go after the part you know it needs, right from the start.

Did you check your alternator? It could be the problem and not the starter.
