Default So how much damage did I do?

Was hanging out with some friends last night, when I got a craving for a milkshake. Mcdonalds is right around the corner from my friends house, so I jumped in the truck and made the 5 minute trek to the drive through. Kept thinking, man, truck is driving sluggish. Placed my order, turned the corner, then saw it.

I had left my parking brake on, DOH! Unlatched it, and went home with my milkshake.

Sooooooo, what kind of damage did I really do? The rear brakes are getting replaced in a few weeks, is it just a matter of adjusting the parking break?

Anywhere from 420 to 1170 calories depending on the size of the shake!

When they are doing the rear brakes get them to check the cable adjustment and the shoe.
Shouldn't have been too bad of damage, did you smell it burning at all?
I've seen guys do worse.

It was a large, and it was pure heaven.

Nope, didn't smell any burning, and when I got back, put the brake on in neutral facing down a hill, and it didn't budge. Axle seals are getting replaced in 2 weeks, but buddy is gonna throw the pads on since he has to take them off anyway to get the seals out.

I didn't think I did too much damage, but just wanted to check.

Years ago when I worked in the Truck Wholesale business I was at a dealers auction when one of the drivers was bringing a Jeep Wrangler through the block. The old guy left the e-brake all the way on and on top of that was riding the clutch and reving the crap out of the engine to compensate. The whole auction reaked of burnt brakes and clutch, needless to say no one bid on that poor bastards Jeep at all.

The truck should be fine, but it is something you should hav felt right away. When I pulled a "Vin", the minute I let of the gas, the truck would slow down really quick. So at that point I knew the emergency brake was engaged. Obviously that didn't happen to you.

I was too concerned with vanilla or chocolate.

I never really got into their shakes, aside from the obvious reason, its hard as hell to drink them through that straw (or any straw). I do like the Wendys frosty with the Oreos in it!
