Default Looking for part number - pipe between TAD and Cat

Hey all,

I'm in the process of giving my truck the TLC it wasn't getting from its prior owner. I noticed that the pipe that connects the TAD to the exhaust before the second cat was disconnected, and just dangling from the TAD. I was hoping to be able to hook it back up, but no such luck - looks like it rusted out at the cat-end of the pipe. The 'nipple' that it hooks onto on the cat is still in good shape though.

I'm having trouble figuring out what to call this part, or where to find it in a parts fiche, and as such can't really find where to get a replacement. Any ideas?

Or call your local parts slinger and give them the number. Hope this helps

It was a little pricey at my local shop ... $60+. He did show me some high temp silicone exhaust hose that looks like it'd fit to bridge the gap. Not sure if that's a good idea though ... I can get the part from
Amazon for $45 Amazon for $45
and it'd be here in two days. Either way, looks like I'm in good shape for whatever direction we proceed with this. Thanks

I had the same problem. I tried the silicone hose, and that kept burning through at the nipple. It would only last a few days. I used this part from Rock Auto successfully: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...790&cc=1121713. I had to pull the strap from my old pipe, but it did the job.

I'd call it an Ugly Ford Truck, but there is no such thing.

Yeah, I didn't try the silicone line yet - I'm pretty skeptical it'll last, and now you've pretty much confirmed that!

I haven't gotten around to doing anything with the line yet, but I'll likely just replace the pipe altogether. Glad to hear that part worked for you.
