Default winter rims (steel)

I have looked at the spare tire on a steel rim that came with my truck. 2013 XLT HD and then looked at the lug nuts that hold the Alu. wheels on and I wonder if they are suitable to mount the spare in case of a flat tire. Looking at them side by side it sure looks like they won't hold the spare very well. I can find nothing about this in the owners manual and as I have been lucky in that I have never had to mount the spare. In fact there is a good chance that I would't be able to get the spare from the under body holder any way, but I would like to know if the lug nuts for the Alu. wheels would be safe to use if I should have a flat' I have the same thing with my F350 and the spare. I know with it I got steel rims for the winter tires as there was a couple of the Alu. ones wouldn't hold air for any length of time and they came with with their own lug nuts and they are nowhere near the same. Has any one had to mount the spare and used the lug nuts from the Alu wheels.

I don't know, but it shouldn't cost you much to buy a set of proper lug nuts and throw them in the glove box.
