Well she's home. Had a police escort through town with the procession, and every intersection had two cops, both outside they're car, both at full attention saluting, out of respect for the former police chiefs wife. My family's name in Vinita is well known, thats why I visit it when I can. It was a nice service, no one dressed up, as that isn't what we do, even at weddings we wear blue jeans, long sleeve shirts, boots and a straw cowboy hat. Met a few new family members, saw some old ones I hadn't seen in awhile, and to top it all off, 4 of my grandmother's former students from when she taught were in the service as well as followed us out to the graveside service, right under the oak tree grandad chose to be buried under. Everyone there, whether former student or friend was family, one lady went to college with my grandma and she sat right beside me and a cousin of mine in the family section, her kids called my grandma Aunt Adeline, she had that big of an impact on them. The little kids next door to grandma's house gave her the name Ms. Ladybug cause she was always gardening..

It sounds to me that she has left an impression in the lives of many that will never be forgotten and often missed.

I'll miss her.... I wanted to personally thank the officers, really says something when a man 40 years ago is a police chief, and the current officers tasked to block traffic, whom never met or knew him, salute my family as we're rolling along in the funeral procession. One of the Luginbuel's, the folks that handled my grandads funeral and now my grandma's came up and gave me his condolences, told me when he was little he knew my grandad, said grandad scared him, everyone there laughed, and said he gave that impression, inside though, he was kind and gentle, I was his "little man", he told dad that I should be a boxer when i grew up, cause i had such big hands for a kid. We all got to have a flower from the bouquet, chatted some, thanked people whom showed up for showing up, touched grandads headstone, and then left.

Picked up a transmission filter kit today for the car, plan on buying trans fluid when I get off work, and an oil change, found out the car can use a FL1A filter.

Although late, my condolences Blue. Lost my grandmother in 94 at age 86. She had grit. Lost a lot of strength when she died. Walk in her house and sit down and always was so calm and peaceful. She fussed lightly one time because my uncle(her son) and myself would always take a nap. Couldn't help it, it was Mam-maws house. I think that was good she (your grandmother) didn't suffer long. Mine was in nursing home for a 6 month trial in hopes she could go back home. Had a HA and a small stroke. The day the 6 mos were up the nurse went in her room, said hi Ms. Parnell and noticed she had wet the bed and told her she'd be right back. Came in and she was gone with a smile on her face. I didn't want her to go, but I know where she went and that was just a shell put in the ground, so I couldn't ask God why or be mad. I can't wait to go home myself and see her again. Sounds like Ms. Adeline was an awesome woman. I would like to have known her. Again Blue, sorry for your loss.

Transmission has been shifting GREAT now that it's got a new filter and new fluid, next paycheck(this coming Thursday)I'll be changing the Filter again, and instead of using Walmart brand fluid, I'll be using Castrol ATF+4, the Filter in it now and the Walmart fluid I used in it wear merely to flush the system, especially after all the nasty ass sludge I found in the pan..
I've been driving it around out here every week to help flush the transmission out, today I took it out again, popped a hole in the inside firewall on the passenger tire... Have a spare, but had to use Fix a Flat to get it home... that's when I found the hole..
