he gave good info, but may not be low enough
do a check on the wheel & tire calculator
just my 2 cents, I like that quick giddy - up, as long a top end will reach your desired speed
to hell with HighWay Cruseing
double yess on BRAKES the additional weight/mass will reguire some exceptional STOPPING POWER
Rotors
Pads
Calipers (duel action)
but, of course I know you have already researched, and are close to a desision
question is, which BRAKE set-up
you are now able to go larger diameter, but will they be effective if you install a lift
which I hope you will not go to high, to accomadate the NEW Wheel set-up
think hard , and choose WISELY
sorry I do not have any recomendations for your TRUCK

PS dont let anyone tell you a 8.8 is weak

Thanks guys, as far as brakes I am really clueless. I kinda dont have the money to buy brakes right now so thats why I wanted to know the cheapest way to upgrade them. As far as the lift I am thinking 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body. So 9 inches total should do the trick. Again, if anyone can offer info on brakes PLEASE post it! Thanks in advance!

as scott suggested in your brake thread...it might be a good start to simply upgrade the brake pads to start to see if that would work out until you could afford the complete upgrade....

Come in Nine5
I discussed your Truck - tires and rear gear, with some knowledgeable folks
the outcome was split between
4.86 & 4.56
streetable & quick = 4.86
more highway = 4.56
decisions decisions
money money

JSoko
here is the real question/questions...
Would the 4.56 be equal to the 3.31s I have now once I put the big tires on?
Would the 4.86 feel like 4.10s if I put 4.10s in my truck now with current tires?
Or even though I will have 37" tires both gears will still be better than if I had
4.10 gearing in my truck with my current setup as far as tires go?

I called my friend
he would need more info on engine build
engine size - bore & stroke
cam type & duration @ .50, int. & ex.
fuel delivery, FI or carb
same questions he ask me before I chose a carb
cant undestand what the cam duration would have to do with a carb or rear gear choice
and when he explains it I still dont understand
anyway let me know, may can give you an unexplainable answer
