FWIW, they don't need to be silicone, they just don't get hot enough. I did end up finding 6' pieces of silicon, which I cut to fit appropriately. After replacing the vacuum reservoir (with a plastic GM piece, no point in putting another metal one in), everything is working well and has been for the last 5 months. Thanks, again.

Did you end up finding the hose pieces at a regular parts store?
