Default transfer case motor

i have a 2000 ranger XLT 4x4 4.0 and the transfer case motor starting blinking in dash. both 4x4 high and low. no fuses are out I have removed the motor and confirmed motor is not locked up or bad. It has a marking on the inside Arrow. I bumped motor to pointing it together. reinstalled a week went by and its flashing again. How to adjust sensor or what is it doing?
It worked fine after i reinstalled it for a week only used it once then 3 days later blinking the 6x in dash
oh and I replaced it last year not issues till it got bad cold

and help be greatly appreciated

My experience with my 97 f150 is the position sensor is failing and unfortunately its "integrated" or at least not available to be replaced on its own. Mine also barely got used and it failed as well.

You can however make an attempt at cleaning connections and you can check the brushes BUT be aware it isn't the easiest thing to put the damn motor and brushes back together.

Well i finally got to look thru paper work found where I bought a rebuild one. Auto zone replaced it with a smile and a signature, guess they are know to fail. Lasted only a year

A good thing about Auto Zone is you don't have to have the paperwork. They can look up your receipt with your phone number.
