I thought of something else I'm going to get next time I go. The way the 80-96 heatercore is set up is kinda of dumb IMO. Antifreeze always is pumped through the heater core, even if the A\C is on. Jeeps have a vacuum controlled diverter valve that only allows the antifreeze to reach the heater core when the heater is on, so your A\C will blow colder. The install is easy, cut your heater core hoses and put the valve in-line on them, then put a vacuum T on your blend door valve and run a vacuum line to this valve. Whenever I get one I'll be makin a writeup for it.

People use the same valve from rangers and s10's too.
You could find em in lots of places.

If my a/c worked I would consider it a necessary thing.

if we had to we would loop the hoses together to bypass the heater core

This valve basically does that, then when you switch it to warm, it'll allow the antifreeze to flow to the heater core.

Well I'm just gonna add to booba's thread.
Got lots today, for free!!!
Uhm, Wiper motor first (more on that later) Wiper linkage, map sensor, arm rest (wrong color but better than broke) Mirror, sliding window lock, hub center.. I think that's it.
Thought about taking the cowl panel since it was in awesome shape, but not worth it at this time. Probably gonna go back later and get the grille (xl black style). Oh oh oh, parking brake pieces too, don't know if it's any good or not.

First picture is of a mid 80's truck we just looked at for the heck of it.

The only thing I considered getting was the underhood light. If the bed was in good shape I would be all over it, love me a classic stepside.
This is the truck that gave up the goods.

Lots of other good stuff I would take and use or store, but since it's free I'm not pushin it. What's left of it is getting crushed soon
And here's the parts taken.

Been awhile since I updated this thread, I was able to get something else for the junkyard, a set of GT40Ps out of a 2001 Mountaineer. I also got some Mustang headers, and I had to modify them a bit to mount them to the GT40Ps, but other than that it was a direct swap. Since I put the Mustang headers on my truck, I had to have a Y-pipe made for it, but thats a difference story. Eventually I will get some GT40P compatible headers for a Mustang, since they are cheaper than the truck version, and more readily available.

Here's a link to my install\information thread.
