Did you get this thread mixed up with the political thread? lol. It does sound like you're talking about the political race.

What isn't political?

What we leave behind are our words and our deeds. Nothing else really matters.

True but NASCAR unlike politicians have the fans (people) in mind to make sure that they enjoy themselves at an event. As far as im concerned NASCAR does a better job with the balance of safety of the competitors and entertainment value to the fans. I think if our gov took a page out of NASCAR's book they maybe able to create such a balance between gov function and the will of the people. just my .02

Yup! And Johnson does pretty well at Texas. I missed the race today with everything i accomplished. I like Jimmy fine but I'd like to see Kes get a championship under his belt.

Yea it is, it's because of stupid stuff like if you're on pit road and there is a caution while you're on pit road, you're automatically a lap down.

I heard about that yesterday, that was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of..

At least they've still got the NHRA !

Well, in NASCAR's defense, it ain't exactly cheap to go to a race. Plus with the economy in the shape it's in, that doesn't help either. When i went to the race in April. For my dad, son, and I it cost about $500 for the entire trip. We had the cheaper seats at that. It was stiil a great time and when i can, I'll do it again. There are some rules i don't care for but it sure beats watching so called, doped up athletes complain about contracts and endorsements.

I still wonder how many drivers out there are on Amphetamine's while they're racing, there for awhile I thought Kurt Busch was !@#$@# up on something when he kept his mouth running to the reporters and such after he'd crash the car or at the end of the race.

I also think they're stupid "all driver's must talk to a reporter right after the race" rule is stupid, maybe they just wanna climb out of the car and rest for a bit, I mean crap, they just got through racing 400-500 miles and are beat to hell, I've seen sometime's where the driver is out of breath talking to the reporters because it's "mandated" by NASCAR for them to talk immediately.
