Default Just bought my 92 f150 sc 2wd lgbd 5.0

Alright i found a great truck for 1850. My 92 ford f150 only has 64000 on it. Its a great story but i will get to that some other time. The day i bought it i notice that the trans gasket was leaking and i figured being it was from up north now its a florida truck maybe it had just dried up, so i bought a new gasket and filter to change it which i had never done before so when i changed them i didn't no about torquing the the 9-11 bolts and i put it back together and no leaks! Great job so i thought the same day i change the thermostat which was in the open position and stuck so while changing that the climate control temp sensor but it had broke so i replaced it then put everything back together but, i only put mostly water for now until this wknd in the radiator. So i have gone back pulled the tranny pan and filter and replaced it all and did torque it again and im ready to roll! So then i take it for a ride to check everything and now i have a (3/4 shift and when letting off gas it gets kinda rough?) It was smooth and riding great before i touched it now im stressed anyone have any advise?

Get the right filter for the transmission? Running the right type of Fluid in the transmission? Proper fluid level?

How are you checking the fluid? Transmission should be in neutral and warm, with engine running.

Shift through all the gears after it's warmed up, then check the fluid level.
