Default Codes!

You guys have been super helpful, so I thought I would show you my next step in repairing this truck... Fixing codes.

I got an equus scanner for $25 off Amazon, and this is what I got.

Hard Codes:

636 - Trans Oil Temp Higher or Lower than expected - Likely because the truck wasn't warm when i ran the test?

114 - Air Charge temp sensor voltage higher or lower than expected - truck not being warm for the test?

116 - Engine Coolant temperature higher or lower than expected - Truck wasn't warm when I ran the test?

CM (Continuous memory)

212 - Loss of ignition diagnostic monitor signal/SPOUT grounded - No idea.

332 - Insufficient EGR flow - The valve is disconnected, I know that

334 - EGR Valve closed voltage high - Same as above?

628 - Excessive Converter Clutch Slippage - Oh oh, is this as bad as I think?

Any ideas would be great!

Also, I checked the door jamb sticker...

It says my truck has an H5 axle code, That is 4.10s with an LSD in the rear right? Im wanting to put 33 or 35 inch tires on it, the truck has no lift.

I dont think the ACT and ECT needs to be warm to test voltages. Either they are in range (good) or not. With the code 212 check to make sure the SPOUT connector is there. It should be on a pigtail hanging from the distrbutor and grey in color.

This is a pic of my setup but the SPOUT connector is the same. And again, hanging from the distributor.

As far as the torque converter clutch issue, it could mean it needs to be replaced. Try clearing all the codes and start over again with the engine at operating temp. Also hook your EGR back up.

Hope this helps and lets us know what the outcome is.
