Exclamation EEC/ECM/PCM ??? Location

Ok I have searched this site as far as I could and maybe I'm just not doing something right. Where can I find info on the computer and how to replace it. I looked under forums, searched under forums, tech articles, and garage talk under engine, and nothing did I miss it somewhere?

Has anyone done a write up on what EEC/ECM/PCM what is the difference if any and what do they mean?

I have finally decided to replace the CPU after working and trying to get codes from truck and have come empty handed.

Can someone please lead me in the right direction.

Thanks

Your PCM is on the far driver side firewall, down by the fender on the driver side. PCM is Powertrain Control Module, meaning it controls the engine and transmission. ECM is Engine Control Module, meaning it only controls the engine. EEC is Electronic Engine Control, which I think is the same as ECM.
