the radio looks good....it's actually a smaller version of the one i have in my truck.

wobble antennas??? do you mean whip antenna?

i recently replaced my shorter antennas with a new set of 3ft fiberglass firestik antennas. bought them thru www.rightchannelradios.com out of Bozeman, MT. I knew of them from when i was working in MT. They shipped them out and i received them the 2nd day after they were shipped and are reasonably priced too.

I did this install in about 2 hours. Half of that was spent finding all the fasteners holding the lower dash panels in place.

Hahaha you guys are funny with your radios...who ya chattin it up with ?? Anyone and everyone ? Those radios look cheap and old school...heres what we use in loggin trucks...I like the ones that display the CH Names as well as the #'s. Gotta have scan as well. These radios are a tad more money, but u get what u pay for.

the only reason i have the radio in my truck is so when i am running through an active logging area, i can contact the yarder for permission to pass, and to hear the trucks running toward me, so i can get the F out of the way! Most of my favorite hunting areas are on private timber company holdings that open up for public hunting, as long as the fire danger is not high. Some of my fishing holes are accessable through timber lands as well. So for my purposes, it doesn't make any sense to spend 100's of dollars on something i'm not slobbering on all day long!

mine was used pretty much every weekend when i was working down in VA and drove back home to PA every weekend or every other weekend. then i'd sometimes make trips from VA up to MI also. i use it mostly to find out where cops are sitting and learn of any accidents along my route.....that's mostly it. now when my dad had his super duty with his CB in it...and we drove down separate sometimes to my sisters....we'd use it to keep in touch also.....
