Default mirror mishap.

Driving home the other night I nailed a garbage can with the passenger mirror, the can was partially over the white line. But that don't matter, I noticed that the mirror glass etched my passenger glass.... this etching will drive me insane in a short time... what can I do to minimize the visibility of the damage? I already scrubbed it with steel wool to knock off high spots.

Yes with my car. Truck still no motor.

Polish perhaps? I use Rain-X and that sometimes fills in the small scratches in my windshield (until it wears out). Otherwise, not sure.

Skate: Well I'll be... That looks like something I could try on the whole glass pane in my bedroom, I let a contractor "clean" my glass, only to have the end result of pitted dog shit...
