I live in cali so by law I have to have my smog pump on my truck,or at least every 2 years when I go to get my truck smogged it better be on and hooked up..lol
I have been told that by taking it off or just disconnecting it by using a shorter belt to bypass the smog pump that I would gain some HP and gas mileage.

the only con's I can think of is that your O2 sensor and CAT may fail sooner than expected
and the higher exhaust temps may set off the CEL

plug any hoses at the source as well as the opening on the exhaust and remove the EGR

then its Pedel to the Metal for a little more 'giddy up go'
butt Dyno may or may not feel the differance
