Default CB Mount

So I sold my old 1997 F250 and upgraded to a 2006 King's Ranch F350 Super Duty single rear wheel.

There is no where to mount a CB, anywhere. I had to put on my thinking cap and ended up with this. I took out the center console and made a bracket to go under it, utilizing the consoles mounting points. I happen to have a large size piece of sheet stainless steel laying around.

The project went pretty good. I cut the strip of carpet under the console to make fab work easier. I probably could have gotten it done by sliding it under but saw no disadvantage to cutting the carpet.

Looks pretty good. Were you not able to find one of those shelves that mount where your visors go? I know they make those for that 97 you had,...not sure about the newer models.

Thanks Harrison. I didn't really look but generally don't like my radio's up there. I will be adding my H.A.M. Radio to the other side of the bracket latter. I haven't really nailed down a place to hang the mic as of yet. There are a couple positions I'm considering and will post pics of that here also.
