Default Swap 1998 $x4 Front axle to 1997 4x$

[/SIZE] Well i made it to the Posting area.. I would like to know how many problems i will run into by switching the 2- axles.. As you guys know.. the rebuild on the front ends are alot of work.. which i don't mind.. but i came across a great deal ($200.00) for the complete axle set up ,from a 1998 4x4.. I will decribe all details.. The truck i have is a 1997 F350 4x4 Daully 7.3 Turbo Diesel. It was a Former Town Highway dump truck.with a 9ft minute man plow.. This put a beating on the bearings and hubs over the years.as to the weight. The trucks Vin is 1FDKF38F6VEA56130 , GVWR 14,000. The front axle is an Dana 60 straight axle.(093) 4.10 gears (189S) { ID Tag was missing} Ball joint, Leaf spring,Daully Hubs.. Which i think this is an excellent Front axle.. I took the rear axle tag for Id for the gears. ( 10.10.26K28) The Axle i want to use is out of an F350 Super Duty, Dana 60-70 4x4 straight axle ,ball joint. with 4.10 gears. Its part no, is 610655-2 date 0/8 27/ 1998 13:09 4.10 other no. F81A-3002-Aym..It also has the wheel adapters. Question is.. Will the axle hold this weight of my truck ? Mount up the same leaf springs, and steering.. Will it Swap.. Whats Parts will i need.. I just found out the wheel mounts (pattern) are different ! Any Help would be GREAT.. Thanks Guys ! FORD 4 x$ TRUCKS are TUFF !!

Hi Rough rider ~ Thanks much for the reply.. Yes your right about leaf spring mount.. I haven't took it apart, because i think i might hang the truck up in the middle of winter.. I guess i won't know until everything is out.. This is why i posted it.. I just wasnted to get all my nuts and bolts toghewther before i started this.. and then having more problems down the road.. Both trucks are the leaf spring, 4x4 balljoints, same gearing.. Its out of a 98 F350 super duty with adapters going on a 1997 daully F350. I thought the 60 dana and the 70 dana was the size of the ring gear ?? Thanks for checking this out.. Talk later.. Keep driving sideways.. Its Fun..
