Default 78 4x4 351m, 2bbl carb please help!

I need to replace my carb. Already rebuilt and the throttle shaft needs to be rebushed and i dont have anywhere aroud here that will do this for me. I have decided to just try to find me a new or remanufactured one. I dont want to change my intake right now , i just want it back stock. I found a site called guaranteed carburetors. They rebush the thottle shaft and fully reman there carbs. Anybody heard of this place. What would you guys put back, 2bbl and climatic choke . Thanks for your time, i dont want to find another one to rebuild, i want the truck right.

Never heard of "Rebushing" a throttle shaft, usually if they have play(can wiggle up and down, left and right)then they're pretty much junk anyway. If you have the metal tag on the carburetor you can find a replacement carb from Ebay or such, putting a 4bbl on a stock 351m WILL NOT provide more power, you have to put in a cam and port the heads to really feel a difference. I'd leave it stock but usually I get rid of the Smog crap on it(makes for a little better MPG's) but that depends upon where you live. And finally no, I've never heard of Guaranteed Carburetor's.

D7te is the tag number. They rebore and rebush the thottle shafts on all remanufactured carburetor. If they didnt then they would be no use in sending the old cores in. I think its a 2150 on mine. Im not wanting a 4bbl,dont want to change intakes and im not really looking for more power, i just want it to run smooth, and not stall when i gop to turn in a road at decell.

this is a link to guaranteed carburetors.com im really not having trouble finding a carburetor, actually just dont know what the best to put back on it is. I would rather keep the climatic choke but if i cant so be it. i just want a good trouble free carburetor.

Hey i also notice my idle solanoid is unhooked. What does it do and where does it plug into. It is just sitting there with a wire hanging fro it and a plug on the end. my egr is also unhooked. I gotta figure out how this stuff all goes back. Every now and then t will diesal at shut off. Not very often thought. no spark knock at all! ya know when we rebuilt the carb one of the jets where seized, so one of them would not come out. I tried pb blaster soaking for a while and it never would budge.

im gonna have to take a picture in the am. It is already dark here so u cant see good enough to take a picture. There is a rubber type cap on back of the solaboid with a black wire coming straight out the back. I cant find the other end that it would go to. The wire out of the solanoid is about 2 maybe 2 and half inches at most.
